synopsis:

after the loss of her partner, a woman finds healing in both grieving and moving on.

narrative:

intro:

  • (pre-roll): girl is laying on a bed looking at her lover. suddenly the lover is gone, and she is there alone. she gets up to sit on bed.

  • shot pulling out of her sitting on the edge of the bed.

  • there are cards and flowers all over the place.

verse one:

  • she is on the bed, looking around.

  • she looks over and reaches to the bedside table drawer and grabs a roll of super8 film, touching it gingerly.

  • finally gets up and puts the film on the projector.

chorus one:

  • the projector turns on and starts playing super8 footage of her and her lover.

  • it keeps cutting to her face watching, getting emotional.

  • wide shots of her sitting in front of the projector watching.

  • interjections of sully lip syncing

  • the reel ends and she is left in the room

verse two:

  • different day, she is starting to pack up the room. there are boxes all over the place.

  • she is throwing dead flowers away, stashing the cards in a box.

  • under the bed she finds a box with the super 8 camera and a note from her partner.

  • she closes the box and takes it away.

chorus two:

  • she packs a suitcase and closes it up.

  • locks up the house, and leaves with a suitcase and the camera box.

  • shots of sully lip syncing

  • shows up to her car and puts the suitcase in there.

  • she starts driving, backing up.

  • she looks in the rearview, she looks at the camera and note

bridge:

  • shots of her driving, parking.

  • she gets out of her car with the box in hand. she’s looking around.

chorus three:

  • down part of the chorus, she is picking flowers

  • she’s at the beautiful location with the super 8 box,

  • she is filming the beauty of the location, skipping around and climbing trees or getting in the water.

  • she puts flowers in the water, gets in.

  • she’s floating there, looking up at the sun.

  • crying, smiling at the same time.
